Transit Pilotage

 

DanPilot performs all types of transit pilotages in Danish waters. From Skagen in the north to Bornholm in the east DanPilot guides more than 10.000 ships safely in and out of the Baltic Sea every year.

Furthermore we offer deep sea pilotage to every destination in the Baltic Sea area. All our pilots are certified by the Danish Maritime Authority and possess the local knowledge and experience to guide your vessels and crew safely through the twists and turns of the narrow Danish Straits.

When ordering a pilot, you must provide DanPilot with certain required information in order to ensure that we are able to meet your expectations for a timely and professional pilotage service. Pilotage routes

Different pilotage routes can be chosen through Danish waters depending on draft etc.

Please see below standard pilotage routes through the Great Belt and the Sound respectively.


Great Belt - Transit routes


BORNHOLM - SKAGEN

Great Belt - Max. 15 m draft

The full distance through Danish waters and a commonly used pilotage distance for the oil majors as the pilots will guide the vessel through all the twists and turns of the narrow Danish straits. The pilotage route covers the IMO-recommended part from Gedser to Skagen as well as the most shallow part of Route Tango, which is between Bornholm and Gedser.

The IMO recommended distance through Danish waters and a commonly used pilotage distance for all types of vessels.

Great Belt - Max. 15 m draft

SOUND N M1 - DROGDEN

Sound - Max. 7,7 m draft

The short pilotage distance through the Sound. A commonly used pilotage distance for all vessels due to the extremely trafficked area and shallow water. The pilotage route covers the IMO-recommended part through the Sound.
